A Safe and Secure Retirement

Among the most important reasons for selecting Sun City Center as a retirement home is its fine safety record with the lowest crime statistics in the county, virtually self-contained medical facilities and a general spirit of neighbors helping neighbors.

Click on one of the small tabs above to learn about our all-volunteer Security Patrol, Emergency Squad and CERT team, our local hospital and fire-rescue station, and our Samaritan Services that help us get around.
A good defense is an active offense -- exercise helps keep your blood sugar in check and makes you feel good at the same time -- so visit our Fitness Center!

Emergency Squad

This is an all volunteer ambulance and wheelchair van service.  Both services are recognized by the Hillsborough County and work closely with the nearby Sun City Center "South Bay" Hospital.  Residents volunteer for positions in both organizations; training (free)  is handled here in town.
For information, or to volunteer, call 633-1411.

Security Patrol

This organization trains and assigns residents as volunteer drivers and administrators to patrol our residential and business streets day and night.  The main task is to act as the eyes and ears of the County Sheriff's Office so if anything out of the ordinary is observed, deputies can be dispatched.  Sun City Center is reputed to be the safest location in Hillsborough County to live.
For information or to volunteer, call 642-2020.
